Marvel’s Avengers gets the star of Thor: Love and Thunder

Marvel’s Avengers gets Jane Foster as a playable hero, straight out of Thor: Love and Thunder.

Earlier today, Marvel’s Avengers developer Crystal Dynamics released a blog post outlining upcoming updates to the game in progress. Chief among these was the confirmation that Jane Foster, aka The Mighty Thor, will be coming to the superhero game at some point in the future with update 2.5.

It’s actually a great time for news – just earlier this week Marvel released the first full trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, in which we got our first look at Natalie Portman stepping up to the plate. instead of The Mighty Thor, plucking Chris Hemsworth’s Thor (it’s complicated, we know) Mjolnir hammers into the air with ease.

As for when Jane Foster will join Marvel’s Avengers, it’s a bit murky right now. Crystal Dynamics is on patch 2.4, slated to launch in May, which will make events like Cosmic Threat, Tachyon Anomaly, and Corrupted Vibranium more rewarding, including giving out rewards to your entire superhero roster once.

Jane Foster, meanwhile, is set to debut in Marvel’s Avengers update 2.5, for which we don’t have a release date yet. News of Foster’s addition to the game late last month actually broke, when a reputable backer claimed that The Mighty Thor and She-Hulk would be making their way to the game in the near future. We’ll have to keep an eye out for more concrete release details for both characters, though.

Here is our complete guide to all the heroes worthy of wielding Mjolnir.
